Saturn in Taurus has a feeling of stability, largely because Saturn and Venus are good friends. It can bring love and comfort to the weaknesses and challenges represented by Saturn. It brings an understanding of the fact that life is difficult (Saturn) and that we can love ourselves and others (Venus) even in the midst of those challenges.
There is also some contradiction between the two planets because Saturn has more of a renunciate/ascetic energy, whereas Venus represents pleasure, indulgence and sensuality. It’s possible that this person was wealthy in a past life, but also possible there was great lack or poverty. For this we’d need to check Saturn’s aspects, house placement, varga placements etc. Either way there is usually some fear and insecurity around money and resources. It could be that there is a fear of losing what we’ve got, or a fear of poverty, starvation, even death. The consciousness tends to be focused on material things (Venus): pleasure, money, survival etc and the search for comfort, security, and balance.
Instead of worrying about what you don’t have, it’s best to focus on what you have already. It is easy for life to pass us by without recognising the many blessings, so it’s important for these natives to stop and feel joy and gratitude in the things they have. Gratitude lists can be very helpful. Another simple technique is to lie down, bring to mind something you love deeply, and let that feeling become a physical joy that floats around your body. You can feel the sensation in your heart, all around your body, even in the energy field that surrounds your body.
Saturn’s nature is to slow you down and this takes place in the realm of material stability and security (Taurus) so it can be that slowly but surely, step by step, the feeling of security grows. Saturn matures at the age of 36, so before that point, you may feel quite unstable, but as you move past that age, you feel a greater sense of stability. It’s wise to develop a slow and steady approach to building wealth. This is unlikely to happen quickly unless some other powerful elements (like yogas) are involved. So develop a methodical approach to acquiring money and resources.
This is excellent for money management, saving, frugality, and careful investing (don’t take risks). Of course it can also manifest as miserliness, so try to share with others, give to charity etc. as a life lived solely for oneself won’t bring any lasting joy.
It’s helpful to have a secure working environment where you feel like you are not at risk of losing your job. Management positions work well. Really any situation that threatens your security will throw you off. You are highly conscious of insecurities so feel the need to be in control. While this is fine, there are some things in life we can’t control and times when we have to go with the flow. This isn’t easy for Saturn Taurus because stability is the key word. If it takes place in the 8th house of sudden shocks, changes, transformation, then you can expect a little more pain in this area because then there surely will be events that are totally out of your control. It is about finding the balance between feeling secure in this world and acceptance that sometimes there’s nothing we can do.
There can be a slightly complex relationship with enjoyment of pleasure. Because Venus (Taurus) deals with the senses and enjoying life, there is the pull here to have fun, let your hair down, and enjoy eating, drinking, sex, spending money etc. But since Saturn’s energy wants us to be disciplined and renounce worldly things, there is a conflict. That can manifest in a number of ways, but a very common way would be to indulge in the pleasure and then feel great guilt or remorse about doing so, feeling that you have let yourself down and not stuck to your path. Or alternatively it could be that you are excessively strict with yourself, forbid yourself from enjoying something, but then feel like you made the wrong choice or that you missed out.
The key here is to enjoy the pleasures of life in moderation and ideally without attachment. Excessive indulgence is guaranteed to make you suffer. Excessive abstinence will also likely not take you where you want to go. My Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, used to love eating mangos, but he enjoyed them only on occasion without any attachment. He could take them or leave them. Allow yourself to enjoy this world, but try not to get attached or addicted. Addiction is certainly a possibility here because there is the tendency to indulge, feel guilty/regretful, then indulge again as a result, and round it goes. Be moderate, keep it simple, and try to feel content with what you have already. If you can do that, Saturn will shower many gifts on you.
